Tom MacDonald is a Partner with Abingdon Group, where he focuses on advisory mandates across strategy, market intelligence, and growth initiatives. Tom MacDonald has spent 16 years in strategic intelligence, commercial advisory, and business development across a wide range of industries, including technology, financial services, healthcare, defence & consumer goods.

Before joining Abingdon, Tom was Head of Business Development for Advisory at FiscalNote, a policy and market intelligence firm, where he led a global team commercializing intelligence services across the firm’s client base. He joined FiscalNote through its acquisition of FrontierView, where, as Managing Director of Advisory, he worked directly with Fortune 500 executives on market strategy, regulatory risk, and international growth across multiple sectors.

Earlier in his career, Tom held senior roles at EY Global, supporting private equity and family office clients on strategy and growth initiatives, and at Global Intelligence Alliance, where he delivered advisory projects across the consumer, healthcare, defence, and technology sectors.

Tom holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Victoria and speaks conversational Mandarin.
